Message It makes sense to use it in our application - because with diesels (which most are turbo as well). They edure much higher combustion forces, and are also very sooty and get a lot of build up inside. Which is why diesel oil carries detergent, and needs to be very shear stable (a good thing). This is very good for turbo bearings, and prevents any oil coke/varnish build up. Which is why a lot of people think older thrust bearing turbos fail!

Also, diesel oil has zinc in it, which can clog cats (**which explains the reason why they do not recommend it for passenger cars!!**), but is very good for engine internals and lowers friction! So it's fine if you have test pipes. Although my friend still runs it with his catalytic converter in his Skyline :)
